OUR STORY

CONETIC MOTO CO. is a family-run operation. We are a small, father-son business. Like many of you, our shared passion as a family is motocross. Our roots in motorcycles go back over 50 years to the time of On Any Sunday, enjoying many years of riding and racing from then to now as a family. Whether it's watching Supercross races on Saturdays, or being weekend warriors ourselves; we live and breathe moto. This is an industry that we love and we want to contribute to it.

This project began back in 2016 when Tom Baguley, our dad, began to come up with the first ideations of the Active-Tension Chain Guard. Being a master mechanic with over 40 years of experience working on cars, motorcycles, and everything in between; he saw the need to improve the efficiency of a motorcycle's drive system.

You've all seen it before, chains can do a number of odd things on a dirt bike. Chains oscillate wildly causing many issues from excessive chain slap, loss of throttle responsiveness, to even full-on chain derailment. The goal is to mitigate these issues, and the CONETIC MOTO CO. Active-Tension Chain Guard is our answer.

From Tom's first concepts back in 2016, he started building prototypes, which we tested on our own bikes.

With each new prototype built, the testing and iterating continued, slowly improving each aspect of the design. At this point today, we have been running these Active-Tension Chain Guards on our personal bikes for several years.

We now believe that the design of the Active-Tension Chain Guard is complete and ready to be pushed out to the world.

The challenge we faced was sorting out the right way to bring this new chain guard technology to the market. I, Matt Baguley, Tom's youngest son, graduated with a degree in Digital Marketing. Together, as a father and son team, we have the necessary skills in place to launch a brand new business to bring this new chain guard technology to your bike.

After 9 years of iterating, we are now ready to offer these to you, the consumer.
